Online Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professors in the following subjects in the
Pay Band-III of Rs.15600-39100 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6000/- plus usual allowances as
admissible under the rules of University of Delhi from time to time.
Assistant Professors : (Posts 26)
Subjects : Bengali, Commerce
, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Medieval Indian
History, Physical Education , Political Science, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Urdu.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to
SC/ST/Persons with Disability viz physically and visually disabled or those who passed their
Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in
the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level in the
relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
2. Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR
or a similar test accredited by the UGC (State level eligibility test-SLET/SET).
Application Fee:
• The application fee is Rs. 250/- for General/OBC applicants and Rs. 100/- for SC /
ST applicants. This is payable only Online and non-refundable.
• No application fee is applicable for PwD applicants.
Candidates are required to fill the Online Application Form available on the college website
http://zakirhusainpgeve.in.
The Last date for filling up Online Application Form is within 21 days from the date of publication
of the Advertisement i.e. 23.06.2015.
After filling the Online Application Form, applicants are required to print the Application Form,
attach self-attested copies of degrees, mark-sheets, research and teaching experience
certificates, testimonials, caste-certificate (where applicable), disability certificate (where
applicable) etc. and submit the same to the college office on any working day (Monday to
Friday) between 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM or sent through Speed Post/ Registered Post to the
college address. The hard copy of Online/Offline application form, complete in all respect
must reach the office of The Principal, Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), Jawaharlal
Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110002 on or before 03.07.2015.
