Applications are invited from suitable candidates for appointment on whole time basis for two posts
of President, three posts of Member (General) and one post of Member (Female) in District
Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums, Delhi established under the Consumer Protection Act 1986.
PRESIDENT, DISTRICT FORUM 02
Eligibility Criteria for the post of President: District Forum
(i) A citizen of India as defined in the Constitution of India, or under any law
made by Parliament to regulate the rights of citizenship.
(ii) Be a person who is or has been, or is qualified to be a District Judge.
(iii) President having good track record shall be eligible for re-appointment for
another terms of 5 years or up to the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.
Age & period of service
The President of the District Forum shall hold office for terms of 5 years or up to the
age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
MEMBER (GENERAL), DISTRICT FORUM 03
MEMBER (FEMALE), DISTRICT FORUM 01
Eligibility Criteria for the post of Member (General) and Member (Female), District Forum
(i) The applicant should not be less than 35 years of age.
(ii) Should possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
(iii) Be a person of ability, integrity and standing and having adequate knowledge and
experience of at least ten years in dealing with problems relating to economics, law,
commerce, accountancy, industry, public affairs or administration.
Age & period of service
The Member of the District Forum shall hold office for a term of five years or up to
the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier and shall be eligible for re-appointment.
Persons who are already in service are required to obtain the clearance /sponsorship
of their Department / Employer and route their applications through proper
channel to the Director(Consunter Affairs), Department of Food Supplies and Consumer
Affairs, GNCT Delhi, K - Block, Vikas Bhawan, LP.Estate, New Delhi - 110002. The
applications, accompanied by photocopies of testimonials together with a passport size
photograph should be sent by registered post mentioning the words "Application for the
Post of , Delhi", superimposed on the
envelope, at the above mentioned address so as to reach not later than 11.05.2015.
