DEPUTY REGISTRAR – 1 Post
Scale of Pay: PB3 Rs.15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs.7600/-
Age: Below 45 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience: (1) A post-graduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade
of „B‟ in the UGC 7 point scale;
(2) Nine years‟ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of `6000 and above
with experience in educational administration or comparable experience in research establishment and/or other
Institutions of higher education or 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post
carrying a scale of pay of `15600-39100, Grade Pay = `5400 (Pre-revised `8000-13500).
Desirable : i) Qualifications M.Com/MBA/CA/ICWA ii) Experience in accounting practices followed in a Govt./ SemiGovt.
Organisation / Autonomous Bodies, such as, preparation of annual budget, annual accounts (comprising
balance sheet, income & expenditure, formulating investment plans etc).
ASSISTANT REGISTRAR – 3 Posts
Scale of Pay: PB3 Rs.15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs.5400/-
Age: Below 35 years.
Minimum Qualification and Experience: (1) Master‟s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of „B‟
in the UGC 7 point scale.
(2) At least 5 years of relevant administrative experience.
Desirable : Experience in general administration which may include activities related to Examination, Academic,
R&D, Students‟ Affairs, Personal/ Establishment, Stores & Purchase, Finance & Accounts etc. in an Educational
Institution of higher studies or Govt. Organisation or research establishment in a Group B post in supervisory
capacity.
A non- refundable/ non-transferrable application fee of Rs.500/- ( for General/ OBC candidates) and Rs.250/- (for
SC/ST/PwD candidates) is to be paid through Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the “Registrar, Indian Institute
of Technology Guwahati, and payable at Guwahati. Other mode of payment of application fee shall not be
accepted. Candidates are required to write their name and address overleaf the Demand Draft. No application fee
is required for internal candidates.
Prescribed application form is obtainable from the Administration Section or from our website www.iitg.ernet.in
or www.iitg.ac.in. Application in the prescribed form (hard copy only) will be considered.
