To meet requirements for the IAC and FPV Projects, Cochin Shipyard Limited, invites applications from the following categories of Tradesmen for appointment on contract basis as
Fabrication/Outfit Assistants and Crane Operator (EOT Crane)/General Fabricator/Outfitter/ Crane Operator (EOT).
Sheet Metal Worker : (Posts 132).
Welder : (Posts 21).
Fitter Pipe (Plumber) : (Posts 97).
Diesel Mechanic : (Posts 22).
Instrument Mechanic : (Posts 09).
Electrician : (Posts 08).
Electronic Mechanic : (Posts 02).
Shipwright Wood : (Posts 02).
Painter : (Posts 15).
Crane Operator (EOT Cranes) : (Posts 04).
Remuneration : i) Fabrication/Outfit Assistant/Crane Operator - Consolidated pay of Rs. 14000/-pm and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs. 4200/- pm.
ii) General Fabricators/General Outfitter/General Crane Operator- Consolidated pay of Rs. 12000/-pm and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs. 3500/- pm C. Period of Contract
The period of contract will be two years.
Age Limit : Age shall not exceed 35 years as on 01 June 2014 relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD.
Method of Selection : Interview and practical test will be conducted from 20th July 2014 at Cochin Shipyard Ltd. The above is tentative schedule and may vary depending upon receipt of application through online and other administrative grounds. Date of interview/practical test will be intimated through SMS/email to short listed candidates. Schedule for test & interview will be published on Cochin Shipyard website. Those candidates who are short-listed and intimated need to appear for the interview. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be permitted to attend the practical test.
